1. Who we are

House of Books ("we," "us") operates tryhouseofbooks.com and sells digital e-books. By using our site or buying from us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our products

All products are digital e-books delivered electronically. Nothing is physically shipped. Titles offered are works we are permitted to distribute, including public-domain works and content we are licensed to sell.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18, or have a guardian's consent, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Orders and payment

Prices are in USD unless stated. We may correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a refund. Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details.

5. Digital licence

When you buy an e-book you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to download and read it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, or share the files.

6. VIP Membership

Our optional VIP Membership is a paid, auto-renewing monthly subscription of $39.95 per month, governed by the separate VIP Membership Terms, which form part of these Terms for members.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to breach security, or infringe our or others' intellectual property.

8. Availability and changes

We may change or discontinue products, prices, or the site at any time. We may update these Terms; the current version is always posted here.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The site and products are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
